| About the College |
| Bharati College is a women- only college located in West Delhi. It was started
by the Delhi administration in 1971 as the Bharati Mahilla College and initially functioned out of
the Government Senior Secondary School for Boys in Karol Bagh, with classes being held in the
second shift. The college was allocated a large plot of land in Janakpuri in 1976- 1977 but could
move in only in 1998. The college has grown since inception and currently offers instruction in 10 disciplines. |

| Bharati College is located on an 8.5 acre plot of which 4 acres are built up.
The campus houses basketball courts, volleyball courts, kho-kho & throw ball fields, a gymnasium and
a fully developed cricket pitch in addition to the academic facilities. There is a fully digitized
library with about 39000 titles. The college has four computer labs with more than 150 machines and
broadband connections. Other facilities include seminar rooms, conference rooms and a studio theatre. An auditorium is currently under construction. The strength of the college is about 1500 students. |
