Hindu College

About the College
Hindu College was founded over a century ago by the Late Shri Krishan Dassji Gurwale and celebrated its centenary in 1999. The college was originally housed in a small building in Kinari Bazaar, Chandni Chowk and, when this infrastructure proved inadequate, shifted to Kashmere Gate in 1902. It moved to its current 25 acre site in the North Campus of Delhi University in 1953.

Hindu College is well known for its role in India's freedom struggle, particularly the Quit India Movement. It is considered one of the premier institutions of Delhi with a large number of candidates vying for admission to it.
