| About the College |
| Kamala Nehru College was started in 1964 on the premise that women have as much a right to education as men. The college was originally known as the "Government College for Women", located in Defence Colony and offered courses only in the Arts Stream. It was renamed as the "Modern College for Women" in 1966 and got its current name on being renamed again when the foundation stone of the current building was laid in 1972. The College now offers courses in both the Arts and Commerce Streams and hosts a wide range of curricular and co- curricular activities. |
