| About the College |
| The Lady Shri Ram College for Women, or LSR as it is popularly called,
was set up by the Late Sir Shri Ram in memory of his wife Phoolan Devi. The College was
established in 1956 and started life in a school building in Daryaganj. It later shifted to
its present location in South Delhi. LSR has long been a pre- eminent destination for excellent students and can boast of an extremely successful alumni list. It is one of the few "women- only" colleges of Delhi. |

| Size, Infrastructure, Facilities |
| LSR is located on a beautiful 15 acre campus in South Delhi. The college has an enrollment of about 2000 students taught by about 150 staff members. The facilities available include a fully computerized one lakh plus book library, well equipped computer and statistics labs and extensive sports facilities. Hostel facilities are available on campus in the LSR Residence Hall that is home to about 300 students. At last count the college had more than 20 societies for music, dance, dramatics etc. |
