About the College
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College was established by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in 1951. The college initially operated out of four rooms in a school in Dev Nagar. At that time it had just 6 teachers and 49 students. The college grew with time and shifted to its current location in the North Campus in 1973. It currently offers a full complement of arts, science and commerce courses.

Size, Infrastructure, Facilities
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh Khalsa College is located on a 25 acre plot in the North Campus of Delhi University. The playground/ sports areas of the college occupy 10 of these 25 acres. The college is well equipped and the facilities include 16 laboratories; 6 seminar rooms; 2 conference rooms; an auditorium and a library with about 1,34,000 volumes. The college has 75 PC's in the computer centre and is connected to Delhi University with a 6 MBps line.

The college excels in sports and has extensive facilities for sports. It takes pride in the number of distinguished sportsmen it has produced, including members of the 1975 World Cup winning team in hockey and the 1983 World Cup winning team in cricket.

The total strength of the college exceeds 2300 students and 117 faculty members.
