| About the College |
| Sri Venkateswara College was set up by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) in 1961.
The TTD is one of India's largest religious, charitable and educational trusts and runs several
institutions all over India. The college initially functioned out of the premises of the Andhra
Educational Society at Rouse Avenue while its own building was being constructed. The college eventually
moved to its own 15 acre campus in Dhaula Kuan in 1971. Sri Venkateswara College or Venky as it called initially gained fame for the quality of its mathematics and statistics courses but has now emerged equally strong in other areas as well. The college is one of the few in Delhi University that offers training in biochemistry and biotechnology. |

| Size, Infrastructure, Facilities |
| Sri Venkateswara College is housed in a 15 acre campus with modern labs and
facilities. There is a full complement of sports facilities for games such as football, tennis, shooting,
tae-kwon-do, wrestling, yoga, basketball, swimming, squash and athletics. Hostel facilities
for both boys and girls are available. Sri Venkateswara College is home to the first Bioinformatics Center setup in North India under the Department of Biotechnology. The college has one main and seventeen departmental libraries with a collection of over 1,20,000 titles. The college has a strength of about 3900 students and a staff count of about 230. |
