| Swami Shraddhanand College was established in 1969 and is named after the social reformer and freedom fighter Swami Shraddhanand. The college initially functioned out of the Gandhi Ashram in Narela before occupying its current premises. It offers courses in all the three streams - arts, commerce and science. |

| Swami Shraddhanand College is located on a 10 acre campus at Alipur, directly on the National Highway. It is one of the larger colleges in Delhi University with a total student enrollment of about 4000. The college is well equipped with the facilities including a 90,000 book library; science and computer laboratories; a seminar room and well maintained lawns and playgrounds. The cricket pitch of the college is one of the best amongst DU colleges. |
